Oversized Knit

Skirt: American Apparel. Knitted Vest/Tank: Reformation. Boots: Stuart Weitzman.
Oversized Cardigan: Storets.

It's cardigan season! I love the cosy appeal of wrapping an oversized knit around me. This is definitely one of my more 'girly' outfits.  I think the soft texture of the cardigan works well with the soft blue tones in the skirt and when you throw in the buttery suede boots you get a very 'touchable' look.

I like to play around with what I show and what I don't and I think that showing a sliver of skin (like the couple of inches on show at the top of my boots) whilst being mostly covered up is way sexier than showing it all up front.

Iron Maiden

Skirt: Topshop. T.Shirt: Vintage. Boots: Louis Vuitton. Choker: DIY.

I won't bore you with my struggles to find these boots... If you follow me on instagram or snapchat then I've already done that. Sorry. Lets just say I love them and I was willing to do almost anything to get my hands on them.

This skirt has been in my closet for a while now and I'm glad it survived my last purge because I've seen patent leather skirts popping up all over the place this season. The Isabel Marant one everyone is wearing is dope but expensive.... But don't worry I got you. I sourced some more budget friendly options below. I like to work against the glossy, glamorous vibe of patent leather and team it with a worn in t.shirt or a big cosy knit.

Crushing on Velvet

Dress: ASOS. Cami/Vest: Topshop . Thigh High Boots: River Island.
Sandals: Topshop. Romper: Kiss The Sky. Platform Sandals: New Look.

I absolutely adore velvet, it always looks glamorous and sexy without seeming over the top. Personally I think velvet is timeless and classic so I rock it come fall/winter no matter what. And luckily this season the trends agree with me so there are lots of pieces to choose from! Which velvet pieces are you crushing on?

Denim Dress

Dress: Madewell. Sandals: Gianvito Rossi. Choker: Adornmode.

I swear if this dress was in any other fabric it would be a no for me but there's just something about denim that makes it so wearable.

Fuzzy Slides

Shorts: Vintage Levis. Bodysuit: Abercrombie & Fitch.

To be honest when these faux fur slides first came out I didn't respond to them at all but they slowly worked their way into my heart and then one day, BAM I was obsessed. Now that they're here I can't imagine what it was I didn't like in the first place.

Are there any trends that you thought you hated but eventually sucked you in?
